Klára Hamburger, DSc.

Born in Budapest, she studied musicology at the F. Liszt Music Academy, Bp. "Candidate of musicological sciences": Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 1981, "Dr.Phil.": F.Liszt Music Academy, 1982, „Doctor of Sciences”, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, 2003. After working as librarian at the Hung. Academy of Sciences, later at the Music Dpt. of the National Széchényi Library, she was editor of music books of the publishing house "Gondolat", Budapest (1966-199O). Retired, she has been nominated Secretary General of the Hungarian Liszt Society (1991-2005) and gave courses on Liszt for students in musicology at the F. Liszt Music Academy (1999, 2002).
