is considered one of China's most important trumpeters of today. As Principal Trumpet of the National Symphony Orchestra of China for more than ten years, he has performed throughout the world. He has also been active in the recording industry as a trumpet soloist for movies, television and commercial works in Beijing.
As a recitalist, Dai has performed extensively, including the International Trumpet Guild Conference in Rowan New Jersey, and universities in the United States, Singapore, and Taiwan, as well as throughout China.
Besides being widely acclaimed as a performer, Dai Zhonghui is Internationally acclaimed as a Professor. Since 2002, he has been on the faculty of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where he serves as Head of Brass, Trumpet Professor and founder/Director of the Central Conservatory Brass Ensemble
Dai Zhonghui is currently much sought-after as an adjudicator for prestigious solo competitions around the world.
Dai Zhonghui former teachers include Thomas Stevens, Boyd Hood, Charles Schleuter, Susan Slaughter, and Rob Roy McGregor.
